Updated over 3 months ago

JDownloader2 is an awesome application that allows you to download files from a lot of different sites, all in one place. TorBox has plugin support to JDownloader2 meaning that if you want to download from your favorite file hosters, right to your computer, you can do it from JDownloader2.

Prerequisites

  • Downloaded JDownloader2 to your device. Download from here: https://jdownloader.org/download/index.

  • A premium TorBox account. Not required to login to the plugin, but is required to add links to TorBox from JDownloader2.

Supported Devices

  • Windows

  • Mac

  • Linux

  • Docker

  • Synology NAS

  • Embedded Devices

Text Guide

  1. Make sure that JDownloader2 is installed on your device and it is usable.

  2. From the main page, click "Add Premium Account" in the bottom left.

  3. Then a box will pop up with a bunch of hosters. Search or find "torbox.app".

  4. It will ask you for your API key. You can either click on the "API Key" text in red, or click the "Click here for instructions". Both will take you to the TorBox settings page.

  5. On the TorBox settings page, under the "Account" section, find a section labeled, "API Key" and click the big green button labeled "Copy API Key". This will copy the API Key to your clipboard and allow you to paste it in the text box in JDownloader2.

  6. Back on JDownloader2, simply paste your copied API key into the text box that says, "Enter your API key". Once you have done this, click the "Save" button.

  7. JDownloader2 will log into your account, and assuming everything is correct, it will show you some stats as well as whether your account is Premium or not. You won't see the exact same "Dl so far" text, but yours will be the statistics for your own account!

  8. Now start adding links the standard way by clicking the "Add New Links" button! TorBox will download and serve them directly to your device through JDownloader2!
