Referrals are a good way to get free premium time on TorBox. Wrote a guide? Have a large following? Integrated TorBox into your project? Share your referral link to your users to get free time on your TorBox account.
To share your referral code, you can either copy the code itself, which a user can then paste into the referral code section on the subscription page, or you can share the referral link, which will automatically add your code to a user's account just by them being logged in, clicking the link and confirming the code via the popup! We recommend sharing the link for ease of use.
Note: Please make sure your browser isn't blocking popups by default, otherwise the referral will not be applied when clicking on a referral link.
How it works:
When you use someone's referral code:
You (the referred user) receive an extra 7 days times the number of months purchased added to the plan you purchased.
The other person (the referrer) receives an extra 7 days times the number of months purchased added to their current plan.
When someone uses your referral code:
They (the referred user) receive an extra 7 days times the number of months purchased added to the plan they purchased.
You (the referrer) receive an extra 7 days times the number of months purchased added to your current plan.

Once you've acquired the referral code you'd like to use, simply login to TorBox and scroll to the bottom of our subscriptions page and paste it in the code box, then hit submit!

First, make sure you're logged into TorBox on your browser of choice.
Once you've acquired your referral link, open it and it'll open a new tab showing the following popup. (This popup may look different depending on your browser, but the contents will be the same):
If you do not see this popup, then DO NOT make a purchase. You will not have a referral code applied and as such will not benefit from using a referral. Please make sure you don't have popups disabled as well as you've disabled any popup blocker or ad blocker extensions, or even try another browser!
Once you see the popup upon opening the referral link, confirm you're wanting to use this referral code by hitting "OK". Upon confirmation, you should see the following notification appear at the bottom of your screen:
Once you see the above notification, you are eligible for the referral bonus! (Assuming you meet all other requirements)
Failure to follow the above guides may result in the referral code not working. This is a user ended error and there's nothing we can do to rectify this.
Must-know Information:
To receive premium time for referring someone, you must have a paid TorBox plan. If you are on the free plan and someone uses your code, you will receive nothing.
The same logic above applies for if you're trying to use someone's referral code; if they (the referrer) do not have a plan you will not receive any referral bonus(es). To note, this means that the 24 hour free trial does not count towards referrals and will not provide a bonus.
Referrals are only given on the first purchase. Subsequent purchases will not receive the referral bonus.
Both the referrer and purchaser receive 7 days per month purchased. If you purchase a yearly subscription, your referral is multiplied by 12, giving you 84 days extra, instead of 7. This means that buying 6 months gives you 42 days, and buying 3 months gives you 21 days.
Support will not manually adjust accounts for referrals for any reason, this includes reinstating the lost bonus.
Support will not add referral codes to accounts. You must add your referral code to the bottom of the subscription page.
Referral bonuses and plan discounts are stackable, meaning you can benefit from both simultaneously.
Manual payments such as with gift cards or redeeming vouchers do not qualify for referral time, and do not count as a "first purchase". This also means that if your current premium time is purely from redeeming vouchers, you are not eligible to benefit from referring others, but are still eligible for a referral bonus if you purchase time for your own account.
Where to find your referral code:
The settings page. It is located the Account section, and is labeled, Referral Code. Here you can copy both your referral code, or your referral link.
The subscription page. It is located at the bottom of all the tabs, labeled Referrals. You can copy your link by clicking on the code after Your referral code is:, or you can copy the code itself.
The profile menu. Clicking on your avatar in the top right of the Dashboard will open up the profile menu. Here there will be a button labeled Referral link. Simply click the Copy button and it will automatically copy your link for you, all you have to do is share!
