Move your torrents from TorBox to Google Drive.

Updated over a month ago

When you have a torrent you want to add to Google Drive, you can either add single files, one by one, or add the zip file to your Google Drive. Once the file(s) have been added to Google Drive you are free to share or access them however you like. Some popular ways are Rclone, Infuse, direct links and more.

Simply click on the file you want to move to Google Drive, click on the Google Drive button, follow the popup and login to your Google account. This will begin moving the file to your Google Drive. If you set up a folder location, it will be moved there, otherwise, it will be moved to your home. As it is being uploaded, you will see a notification with progress on how the transfer is going.

To Add Files To A Specific Folder

If you want to make sure files uploaded from TorBox end up in a specific folder, create a new folder, go into it, and get the ID at the end of the URL you are at. It will look something like: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1z8E0v-aaQ7xYs2fAC7YLj9zl2hj_rjpm. In this case 1z8E0v-aaQ7xYs2fAC7YLj9zl2hj_rjpm is what the example user would put into their Google Drive Folder ID in the TorBox settings.

If you want to create a new folder, click the "+ New" button in the top right, then click "New folder". It will ask you for a name of the folder, of which you can enter anything, make sure it is something you can easily recognize. Then, once the folder has been created, open it up and get the link of the page you are on. Find the ID after the /folders/ and copy that and add it to TorBox like the above says.

This also works for shared drives, as long as you have access to them from the account that is logged into TorBox!

Make sure to allow all permissions

While TorBox doesn't read any files or look into your Google Drive, it is required due to how TorBox uploads on your behalf. Make sure your screen looks like this when logging in. TorBox only has access to the files it uploads! We have no access to your files on Google Drive, so it is very safe to allow access. If you still don't believe us, read a little more into by clicking Learn More.

If you get "Failed to request permission from Google Drive."

This is due to TorBox not having the correct or enough permissions to access your Google Drive to upload files. All the permissions when you first sign in, is what is required, so make sure all check boxes are filled so that TorBox can access your drive. If you missed some check boxes, or made a mistake logging in, head here and reset your permissions to TorBox. Your permissions should look like this:

If it doesn't, remove all of TorBox's permissions by clicking "Delete all connections you have with TorBox" at the bottom of the page, and try logging in again. If you are still having issues, make sure that you check your TorBox settings for the Google Drive folder. If the folder you set doesn't exist or the account you logged into has no access you may also receive this error.
