I Get An Error When Subscribing!

We have lots of protections on our payment systems to prevent fraud, so you are likely getting caught by one of these systems. Read below to resolve the issue.

Below are some common problems when attempting to subscribe to TorBox. Most of these issues can be bypassed by instead paying for a one-time payment, rather than a recurring subscription. Subscriptions are higher risk, and are more common for attacks, which is why such protections exist. If you find yourself dealing with any of the below common problems, you can do the following:

  1. Pay with one-time payments, such as cryptocurrency.

  2. Pay with gift cards/manual payment methods by contacting support.

  3. Switch networks, such as to mobile data.

  4. Switch devices, such as from phone to laptop or visa versa.

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies to resolve issues caused by outdated or corrupted data.

  2. Disable browser extensions, such as ad blockers or script blockers, that may interfere with the payment process.

  3. Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version to avoid compatibility issues.

Common Problems

  • You have a VPN enabled, disable it to subscribe.

    • You may get an error like: "We're sorry, but we are unable to process payments from your IP address at this time. Please try again later."

    • You may have other services, such as iCloud relay enabled, which can cause this.

    • Some networks are flagged, even though you may not be on a VPN or proxy. Instead, you should switch networks, trying mobile data for example.

    • Some devices are also flagged, and can cause this detection to happen, so try a new device (paired with trying a new network for the best chances).

    • Sometimes the Brave browser has an enabled built in VPN, which you may need to disable.

  • You have a proxy enabled, disable it to subscribe.

    • You may get an error like: "We're sorry, but we are unable to process payments from your IP address at this time. Please try again later."

  • You are being rate limited. You can only create a checkout 5 times every hour. This is to prevent repeat payment attempts. Simply wait an hour and try again.

    • You may get an error like: "You have reached the maximum number of payment attempts. Please try again later."

  • Your country is not allowed to subscribe to TorBox. Read more here for blocked countries.

    • You may get an error like: "We're sorry, but we are unable to process payments from your country at this time. Please use a different method of payment."

  • You are using incognito/privacy mode to subscribe. Disable incognito/privacy mode on your browser and try again.

    • You may get an error like: "You are not able to use incognito mode to pay. Please disable incognito mode and try again."

Not Permitted To Pay

If you get an error saying "You are not permitted to pay.", this usually means you are blocked from making payments entirely and you will not be able to subscribe.
