Can I Use TorBox On My Mobile Device?

We now have mobile apps developed and maintained by the community accessible to all users!

Currently there is no official mobile app for TorBox. There was previously, but we discontinued it due to needing to focus on more important things. Luckily some users in our community stepped up and developed some apps for our users to use! We would like to give them a proper shoutout here for all of their hard work.

Both of these apps, and many other fantastic integrations can be found on our integrations page, where you can discover other awesome apps you can use with TorBox!

UTAC

UTAC, or "Unofficial TorBox Android Client" for long, is the most developed of the following apps, and our personal recommendation for the time being. It allows you to search, view downloads, stream, and download directly inside of the app, which is everything we want inside of a TorBox mobile app!

Pros:

  • Has mobile direct downloading inside of the app.

  • Add torrents, web downloads and usenet downloads directly in the app.

  • Has search inside of the app.

  • Has streaming.

  • Cool themes that match the TorBox website.

  • Active development.

  • Works on iOS and even desktop!

Cons:

  • Has no push notifications.

  • Not available on app stores.

  • No automated updates. You have to remove and reinstall for updates, and on iOS that's a pain.

ATBA

ATBA or "Another TorBox App" (what is it with these names lol), is next up in line. Currently it allows you to open streams in another app, as well as view your downloads. While not quite as advanced as UTAC, the developer is working hard on it to give it a ton of awesome features!

Pros:

  • Better viewing of downloads (more concise delivery of information), with more filters and even a search.

  • Add torrents directly in the app.

  • Active development.

  • Can use Obtainium to get automatic updates!

  • Works on iOS!

Cons:

  • Has no push notifications.

  • Not available on app stores.
