How To: Watch TorBox Content With Kodi (POV Addon)

Kodi is one of the most popular ways to watch your content. With the POV addon it makes it very simple and easy to do.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Kodi has been around since 2002, and since then it has been one of the most popular ways to watch content. Today there are many addons which allow you to watch content the way you want. Kodi is compatible with nearly every device and is very customizable. This guide covers the POV addon, which has support for TorBox and its many features.

Prerequisites

  • Windows, MacOS, and Linux Computers

  • Raspberry Pi Computers

  • Android TV

  • Android Devices

  • Fire TV

  • iOS Devices (with workarounds)

  • Apple TV Devices (with workarounds)

  • Web OS

Installing

  1. First make sure that Kodi allows "Unknown Sources". To find this setting click on the settings icon in the top left, then click on "System" in the bottom right. On this new screen, in the bar on the left, click "Add-ons" and click the switch to the on position on the option "Unknown sources".

  2. Once that has been enabled, go back, and click on "File manager". This will show you the Kodi File manager.

  3. Click on "Add source" (or double click). You should see the below:

  4. Where it says "<None>" click on it, and type in the following: https://kodiyashimaru.github.io/repo. This is the repository for the POV addon.

  5. Now enter the name for ease of use. We used "POV" here. Remember this name as you will have to find it later.

  6. Now go all the way back out until you get to the settings page again. Click on "Add-ons".

  7. Now click on "Install from zip file".

  8. It will show the Kodi file manager. Find "POV" (or whatever you named it earlier in Step 5). Click on it to view it.

  9. Now inside, there should be a file named "repository.kodifitzwell.0.0.1.zip". Click on it to install the repository. You should get a small notification in the top right saying that it was a success.

  10. Now that the repository has been installed, go back and click on "Install from repository"

  11. Click on the "kodifitzwell repository". In the new menu, click "Video add-ons". You should now see "POV".

  12. Click on it and in the new screen on the bottom right, click the button labeled "Install".

  13. Once you get a notification it has finished installing, click the button labeled "Configure".

Configuring

General Settings

  • Enable "Auto Start POV when Kodi Starts". This isn't strictly necessary, but is recommended.

Sources Settings

  • Enable any items that you want. We recommend:

    • Torrentio (Movies/Shows/Anime) (Default)

    • Nyaa (Anime)

    • MediaFusion (Foreign Content)

    • Comet (Movies/Shows/Anime)

    • Piratebay (Movies/Shows) (Default)

My Services

  1. Scroll down until you see TorBox and click "Authorize".

  2. You will now have to paste your TorBox API key. You can find this in the TorBox settings page.

  3. After pushing "OK" with your API key entered, if all is correct, you should get a Kodi notification saying "Success TorBox" like in the below screenshot. Close out the settings, go back out to your installed addons, then go back to configure. If you try and go right back in to the configuration settings after adding your API key, it won't update the UI, you must completely exit the POV addon screen to see your updated settings.

  4. Here, you will see your Customer ID and a few other options. Make sure the "Enable" switch is on, as well as "Enable torrents" is switched on. You may also want to include "Search TB Cloud" to see all the items you already own.

Using The Addon

Now that everything is configured, you are ready to go watch content. From the home screen, click on "Add-ons" and you should see POV right there.

Click on it to bring you to the master menu. From here, you can configure the addon, but you can also search for Movies, TV Shows, Anime, Discover new things, and so much more!
